| Campus18 Video Talent Hunt |

Campus18, social networking platform from the TV18 group has joined the bandwagon of Video Talent Hunt. Unlike in the past contests, this is a whole lot different. Campus18 is providing an opportunity for the winner in the Best Performance category to Make an Own Show and also pocket a cash prize of Rs 25,000.
10 winners will be chosen in the Best Video category who will pocket cash prize of Rs 25,000 cash and get short film contract on Campus18.

| BharatStudent gaining Traction in India |

Social Networking startup promoted by Northgate Technologies, BharatStudent.com is gaining traction in India. Data suggests that the company had 1.6 million+ registered users at the end of Q3-2007 with user base growing at the rate of 8,000 per day .
The portal gets more than 1 million page views per day. The company's Advertising is managed by group company Axill. Other means for monetization is other than advertising are revenue streams from Overseas Education; Students Loan Processing; Market Place, etc. Student market places are a revenue opportunity to deliver student products and services. Sales by student sales force that can earn commissions. |

| Orkut Scrapbook is no more Public |

India's most popular Social networking site, Orkut has finally listened its consumers demand. Until now, every Orkut users scrapbook was public and anybody could view and scrap on it. Henceforth, the user has the choice on who can view and scrap on his/her profile.
Additionally, Albums have also been given the choice to be Public or Private to Friends. |
