Innovation atlast from Microsoft in Retail Advertising.

World's number one software maker, Microsoft was struggling to take on Google on the Advertising platform. Finally, after having acquired aQuantive, the company has come up with innovative advertising mechanism, ofcourse not on the Web but on Grocery Shopping Carts.

Microsoft in association with Plano, Texas-based MediaCart Holdings Inc. was toying with the idea of grocery cart-mounted console that helps shoppers find products in the store, then scan and pay for their items without waiting in the checkout line.

Now what Microsoft proposes to introduce is build your cart from Home over the Web and use your RFID membership card and load the details on the MediaCart and as you scan and load the items into the cart, you can also see the running total in your cart. Microsoft hopes to make money by ways of promotions.
